 | Classic current limiter. Note quasi-Kelvin connection the the current sense resistor. The mosfet gate resistor R3 prevents RF oscillation... 100 ohms maybe. C1 and R4 are for lower frequency loop stability. Threshold Vt might be a tenth of a volt or so. There's a tradeoff: higher sense resistor voltage (ie, higher Vt) is more accurate but increases power dissipation in the sense resistor. Use a chopamp for high accuracy with low Vt. |
